Maryland Wear & Carry Initial Certification
Course includes 16 hours of instruction on state firearm law, home firearm safety, handgun mechanisms and operation, and a component that requires the applicant to demonstrate gun safety and proficiency with a minimum score of 70% accuracy. Must complete all 16 hours and demonstrate proficiency to apply for Maryland Wear and Carry Permit.
Maryland Wear & Carry Renewal
Course includes 8 hours of instruction on state firearm law, home firearm safety, handgun mechanisms and operation, and a component that requires the applicant to demonstrate gun safety and proficiency with a minimum score of 70% accuracy. Must complete all 8 hours and demonstrate proficiency to apply for renewal.
